The ANRcade
makemepulse were invited to create a futuristic Estée Lauder world and four original games to celebrate the global launch of the new formula of the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex. As well as the awe-inspiring experience and games we delivered a complex package of social assets ranging from videos to custom made Giphy stickers.
Celebrate the past and promote the future
The product has a strong heritage for Estée Lauder and it was important to celebrate the past as well as promote the future. The experience begins in 1982 where users are quickly taken through the evolution of the product. The visual language is an ode to the design notes of that era and there are micro interactions for each decade. The new product is then revealed and the user is taken on a dramatic fly-through of a CGI nighttime cityscape.
Once in the ANRCade, the user can then explore the bottle in real-time 3D and is encouraged to play the 4 games. Each game has taken inspiration from popular gaming mechanics and characteristics.
At the end of each game, users are then invited to challenge their friends by sharing their score and experience across social media.
