The core objective of this ambitious project was to harness the power of artificial intelligence to create a deeply immersive and personalized festive experience. Bouygues Telecom aimed to engage users by offering them a chance to interact with Santa Claus in ways that had never been done before. This included enhancing brand engagement through innovative digital interactions, ensuring that the experience was smooth, magical, and memorable. The initiative was set to not only captivate users but also to reinforce Bouygues Telecom's status as a forward-thinking and customer-centric brand.

A groundbreaking
WhatsApp chatbot

In collaboration with BETC, and with makemepulse spearheading the production, the project introduced a groundbreaking WhatsApp chatbot designed to deliver three unique experiences.

First, the creation of personalized Santa videos allowed users to receive custom messages from Santa, tailored to their input. Users had the option to select from predefined backgrounds or to generate a custom background using AI, adding a personal touch to the holiday season.

Second, the real-time audio conversations enabled children and adults alike to engage with Santa through voice notes, creating a direct and enchanting dialogue that felt intimate and special.

Finally, the custom Christmas tales feature let users contribute a few key words to generate a bespoke story narrated by Santa himself, blending tradition with technology to offer a warm and personalized festive narrative.

Makemepulse implemented advanced AI technologies to ensure that each feature functioned smoothly and delivered a unique experience. The integration of services such as OpenAI's Whisper for speech-to-text, GPT for language processing, Eleven Labs for text-to-speech, and Stable Diffusion for image generation, enabled the chatbot to offer an immersive and personalized interaction with Santa Claus. The WhatsApp messaging was facilitated through the Vonage API, allowing the chatbot to handle high volumes of traffic, especially during peak holiday periods, without compromising the quality of the interaction. This seamless integration of technology and creativity ensured that users enjoyed a magical, uninterrupted experience, with every interaction designed to feel personal and engaging.

The campaign achieved remarkable success, engaging users extensively with over 8.2 million user messages and attracting nearly 395,000 new users with more than 1.4 million video generated. Remarkably, December 24, 2024, emerged as the peak day, accounting for over 12% of total user interactions and showcasing the campaign's ability to captivate users during the festive season. Video content was a major draw, with interactions peaking on this day, contributing to over 14% of total views. Personalized engagements flourished, with custom backgrounds and stories reaching their zenith, highlighting the campaign's impact on user creativity and interaction. This strategic blend of multimedia and personalized content set new benchmarks for engagement, underscoring the campaign's success in delivering a memorable digital experience.
