Electric vehicle challenger Fisker, wanted to create a distinctive brand platform and unique car configurator user experience, leveraging real-time 3D technology.

The brand wanted to redefine the way that users connect with their vehicles, pre-during and post purchase. Looking for unparalleled ease of use, Fisker came to us with the ambition of breaking the status quo and conventions of vehicle configurators to create a new standard across the industry.
Working directly with the Fisker product and design team
makemepulse led a discovery phase to explore the wider automotive and design landscape to enable us to challenge expectations and evolve design standards for configurators. Leaning into the concept of emotional design, we created an experience that connected on a human level whilst fitting within the conventions of the automotive sales funnel.
The output we delivered was a light-as-air configurator that married lifestyle, commercial and craft. Placing the user at the heart of experience the design enabled you to explore both the practical elements of the vehicle like interior, trim, performance whilst also exploring the lifestyle it could open up by placing the vehicle in surprising and visually rich environments. Who knew a surfboard could be the perfect measure for size and space?
Beyond the craft, the experience uses the dynamic pipeline of UNITY Forma to offer a rigorous and adaptable pipeline for easy updates and future vehicles.
The result, a frictionless best-in-class real-time 3D interactive experience that offers a seamless customer sales journey.
